The Marysville boy’s and girl’s basketball teams each picked up a win on Friday night.  The Lady Vikings crushed Warren Mott 48-31.  Marysville jumped out to a 21-6 lead after one and cruised from there, getting 15 points from Gabby Foggarty and 14 from Hannah Delor.  In the boy’s game, the Vikings needed double overtime to hand previously undefeat Sterling Heights a 64-57 loss.  The Stallions Shawn Kama finished with 29 points and launch a long range three pointer to force overtime.  Marysville’s Ross Hinkley had 26 points, including a jump shot from the free throw line that forced the second overtime.  Dylan Kiger added 17 and Jake Carter 12 for the Vikings.  The game ended with a brief melee that involved both teams and some spectators.  Order was restored quickly and a rematch at Sterling Heights is set for February 1.
