Business leaders and elected officials welcomed Michigan’s Attorney General Bill Schuette into town this week. The AG’s been busy lately with the Flint Water Crisis, with criminal charges being filed. More charges are yet to come, says Schutte. It provides a measure of hope, which he thinks families in Flint and Michigan are looking for. When it comes to the Flint Water Crisis, Schuette notes, nobody is off the table. He says whether you walk in the halls of power or not, there are consequences when laws are broken. Schuette attended a power lunch put on by the Blue Water Chamber of Commerce, met with some Port Huron Area School District children and attended a local republican party event. Schuette says it’s great opportunity for him to stay plugged into Port Huron and see how he can help the city and county grow.
