That’s according to AAA who report average prices of $2.97 per gallon of regular unleaded here in St. Clair County. A decline of about five cents per gallon on average since this time last week. The auto group says If demand continues to drop, alongside rising fuel stocks, gas prices could continue to do the same throughout the week. Stations around the rest of Michigan are reporting similar prices, with Metro Detroit’s average sitting at the three dollar mark, while Marquette comes in with some of the least expensive fuel in the state this week at $2.88 per gallon.
