Border patrol agents stationed in Marysville say they have arrested four immigrants believed to have entered the United States illegally. This past Monday, agents observed a vehicle loitering near the Canadian border. Public affairs officer Kris Grogan tells WPHM the activity occurred near Algonac. A short time later, local authorities conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle that was operated by a driver and passenger who admitted to being in the United States illegally. At the same time, Border Patrol agents observed two additional people on foot at an undisclosed location parallel to the St. Clair River. The two were arrested and admitted to crossing the border by boat. All four subjects are said to be Brazilian nationals with no legal status. The suspects were transported to the Border Patrol Marysville Station and will be prosecuted.
