Gas prices up about a nickel statewide

Gas prices in Michigan are up about 5-cents compare to last week, that according to AAA of Michigan. Drivers are now paying about $2.45 a gallon, which is 12 cents less than this time last month and about 30 cents more than at this time last year. The highest prices are in Ann Arbor at $2.48 a gallon and the cheapest are in Traverse City at $2.32 a gallon. Locally, Port Huron area pumps are approximately $2.43 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
