Justin Verlander pitched a two hit complete game with eleven strike outs on Wednesday night, but lost 2-1 to the Detroit Tigers in Houston. Both Detroit hits were home runs, one by Ronny Rodriguez, and the other by John Hicks. Robinson Chirinos had four hits for the Astros, but was thrown out at third base trying to get a triple for the last out of the game. Chirinos was going for the cycle, having all ready hit a home run, double, and single. The final game of a four game series is set for Thursday night.
