A handful of road construction projects begin this week in St. Clair County. In Wales Township, Wales Center Road between Marquettte and Ravenswood will be closed this week for culvert replacement. In Lynn Township, Dudley Road between Bailey and Masters will also be closed this week for culvert work. In Kimball Township, Main Street will be closed for about a month for the replacement of a bridge over the Smiths Creek. Next week a nearly $500,000 repaving project is slated to begin for Wadhams Road, also in Kimball Township, between Griswold and I-69. That project is expected to begin July 15h and last for at least two weeks.
