The Detroit Red Wings will announce on Friday that Steve Yzerman will become the teams next general manager. Yzerman will replace long time GM Ken Holland, who with one year still remaining on his contract will stay on as a senior vice president of the hockey team. The official press conference is set for 3 pm.
