A two vehicle accident in Sanilac County’s Forester Township yesterday injured two, including a young child. Sheriff’s Deputies say the accident occurred shortly after 12pm near the intersection of Deckerville and North Lakeshore Roads. A vehicle driven by a Sterling Heights woman is said to have rear ended a car operated by Commerce Township woman which was attempting to turn into a party store’s parking lot. Sheriff’s deputies and Sanilac EMS responded to the accident where they treated the two drivers as well as a five month old infant passenger in the first car. The driver of the second car was taken to an area hospital for additional treatment of minor injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor and both the drivers and infant passenger were properly restrained.
