Gas prices down a penny

Statewide gas prices fell every so slightly last week to a current price of $2.15 a gallon according to AAA of Michigan. The auto club is reporting that a gallon of regular unleaded is a penny less than last week and 52 cents less than this same time last year. Across the state, the most expensive gas can be found in Marquette and Ann Arbor, while the cheapest fuel can be found in the Flint and Tri-Cities areas. Pumps in Sanilac and Macomb Counties are asking about $2.14 on average for regular unleaded, meanwhile pumps are are a few cents lower in Lapeer County, with pumps at $2.09 on average. Locally, St. Clair County pumps are asking $2.11 on average for a gallon of regular gasoline.
