Port Huron Township is searching for it’s next fire chief. Announced last week, longtime head of the township fire department Craig Miller will be leaving for a similar position at the Chesterfield Township Fire Department. Port Huron Township Supervisor Robert Lewandowski , speaking to WPHM yesterday, says he hopes to wrap up the search efforts in a matter of weeks. “I’ve still got more (candidates) to talk and I think we have some good choices out there,” said Lewandowski. He adds that he hopes to make a final decision in time for the township’s December 17th board meeting.
