Today is the deadline to register to vote in the August 7th primary election in Michigan. In order to vote, residents have to be at least 18 years old by election day and U.S. citizens. People can register at your local clerk’s office. Secretary of State Ruth Johnson says it is an incredible opportunity to make your choice heard on federal, state and local leadership. Those who need to check on their registration status can do so by going to the Michigan Voter Information Center at michigan.gov/vote
