A group pushing for a higher minimum wage will descend on Lansing today. Members of the Fight for 15 plan to gather in front of the Michigan Department of Treasury for a protest over the low wages in the fast food, service and health care industries. The group is pushing for $15 dollars an hour, saying they can’t survive on what they are being paid. Similar protests are planned today in 30 state capitols across the US, as well as in Washington.
