Woodland looking at the eyes

Woodlands Developmental is in the process of training educators in tools that allow people who can’t speak or communicate physically to communicate with their eyes. St. Clair County Regional Educational Service Agency has recently purchased an EagleEyes unit as well as a myGaze eye tracking device. Cynthia Raymo, RESA director of Special Education, said Woodland staff will start working with the devices soon, but the tools likely will be of use to only a small population. Woodland Principal Diana Maison says opening a window for students to communicate is significant. Something as simple as them being able to say they don ‘t feel good today, would be incredible.
