Canadian environmental officials have put on hold a proposed nuclear waste dump that would be located less than one mile from the shores of Lake Huron. State Senator Phil Pavlov, who recently participated in an international panel opposing the nuke dump, says we’ve fought together to keep nuclear waste away from our communities and off the shores of Lake Huron. Our Fight is working. On Thursday, Canada’s Federal Environmental Minister Catherine McKenna put the project on indefinite hold, while more data on the project can be collected, including reviewing alternative locations.
