When it come to a child’s education, science and math are more important now than ever before. Those subject areas are all encompassed in robotics. Thanks to recent fundraising efforts by the local Economic Development Alliance, the Blue Water Area Robotics Alliance will be hosting a District First Robotics Competition at Marysville High School on March 24-26. The BWA Robotics Alliance is a group of FIRST Robotics teams in St. Clair County working together to further STEM education and careers. Bruce Seymore, Manager of Business & Community Services for the EDA, says there are open positions in St. Clair County and across the state for people with STEM education. The EDA raised over $20,000 for the competition, with the help of many local sponsors. You can find out more about First Robotics on their website at: FirstInspires.org.
