The Community Foundation of St. Clair County has revised it’s strategic priorities heading into the future. Every three years the foundation re-evaluates it’s set of priorities, seeking input from partners, donors, and stakeholders throughout the community. Board member Janal Mossett says they have shifted from college preparation to focus more on skilled trades and apprenticeship programs. The Foundation will also be focusing on programs that support healthy lifestyles, such as a new pilot program being launched in Algonac. The program will blend the Foundation’s Friday Food, which gives the community year-round access to healthy foods, and Backpack giveaway into a year-round effort to support students.
