Will the Flint water crisis and the crumbling Detroit Public School system overshadow the governor’s State of the State address tonight in Lansing? Some Republicans in the Michigan House say no, although they don’t expect Rick Snyder to gloss over the two issues during his address. State Representative Peter Pettalia expects the governor to lay out some of his accomplishments over the last year before turning his attention to Flint’s water crisis and Detroit Public School’s debt. However State Representative Sheldon Neeley, a Flint Democrat, doesn’t think the governor should spend any time touting what’s happened over the last year. Instead, he wants to hear a humble and apologetic governor who’s focused on getting clean drinking water to people in Flint. The governor’s State of the State address is tonight at 7:00 p.m. You can listen to the address live on 1380 wphm.
