Search to fill Marysville empty seat

Although the city of Marysville just held elections, they will now need to fill the empty council seat left vacant by Harry "Duke" Dunn who served on the council for the last twelve years. Dunn was selected by the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners to serve the remaining term of Tom Riely, who resigned from the board after moving out of his district. Marysville Mayor Dan Daman sat through the county commissioners selection process and he liked how it was open and transparent. Daman says he has been talking with the Marysville city council and they seem to be on board with that idea. For those interested December 9th has been set as the date for letters of interest to be received by the city clerk. An interview schedule would then be set up to either narrow the field or to finalize the board's decision.
