Board of Education members for the Port Huron Area School District formally receive a presentation from their "Building Tomorrow, Today" Steering Committee tonight. The regular meeting begins at 7pm at the McKinley Board Room along Riverside Drive. The committee has met over the past few months looking at ways to improve programs and school buildings. Those sessions have included a pair of public hearings that were held at the district's high schools. The district believes some $60 million in improvements may be needed. The Board of Education is expected to hear and receive the presentation tonight and possibly vote on any millage askings at their next regular meeting. Also on tap tonight is the first public hearing on the district's reproductive health advisory council by-laws.
