St. Clair County Commissioners were on the road again Thursday night holding their regular meeting at the Lynn Township hall. An agreement between the Health Department and Community Mental Health to provide education and health promotion services to CMH clients was approved last night during the County Board of Commissioners regular meeting. The board also discussed the need for new 911 dispatch radios. New radios were purchased in 2008 have begun to fail. Commissioner Howard Heidemann tells us the board purchased all new radios because all of the fire police asked to be on one frequency for the safety of the public. The commissioners also designated September 23rd as Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies Day in St. Clair County. On that day the board will formally make the proclamation at Community Mental Health located at 3111 Electric Avenue in Port Huron.
