A Thursday evening crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle has claimed the life of a China Township man. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, the 60 year old male was driving a motorcycle with a 57 year old female passenger around 6:30pm Thursday. The two are believed to have struck a car that was attempting a left hand turn from Marsh Road onto Marine City Highway. The driver of the car, a 19 year old from Cottrellville Township, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a Macomb area hospital. The driver of the motorcycle was also taken to a Macomb County hospital where he died of his injuries. His female passenger is recovering from serious injuries. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash but say alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor.
