Having jumped 25 cents in the past week, gas prices around St. Clair County have reached an average of $3.47 cents for regular unleaded. That’s according to a report from AAA this morning who say the sudden increase is likely the result of a spike in fuel demand. The one Michigan town where drivers are paying more at the pump is in Jackson, where the average price per gallon is $3.48 cents, one penny less than in the Blue Water Area. Within the same report, AAA provided some good news in that a recent boost in domestic fuel supplies could provide some relief for area drivers as the week goes on.
