A Kimball Township man is facing a total of seven charges after he reportedly attempted to set fire to his garage and run over law enforcement. Early Tuesday morning, St. Clair County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic incident between a woman and 56-year-old Curtis Graham. Graham was reportedly in the garage turning on multiple compressed gas tanks while also attempting to fill it with vehicle exhaust. He ignored authorities when they arrived, and drove off on a side-by-side, directly toward deputies, forcing them jump out of the way.

The suspect was soon found driving recklessly and doing donuts in the middle of Wadhams Road. He then drove at deputies again and hit a patrol vehicle before crashing his side-by-side into a ditch on Richman Road near Dove. The suspect needed to be physically removed from his vehicle after tasers were ineffective. He continued resisting arrest until he was handcuffed and in the back of a patrol vehicle. Graham is charged with five felonies and two misdemeanors having to deal with arson, explosives, fleeing and assaulting an officer, reckless driving, and domestic violence. He’s being held at the St. Clair County Jail on a $15,000 bond
