A third suspect is in custody following a firearms robbery that caused schools in the Armada district to close Monday. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department says two former students were taken into custody Sunday and two firearms were recovered following a burglary at a Berlin Township home. A third former student, who was in possession of two additional stolen guns, was arrested Tuesday. Detectives say there were no threats made in reference to the school, students, or staff and that the school closure was out of an abundance of caution. The investigation is ongoing, and classes resumed in the Armada district Tuesday. The suspects are lodged in the St. Clair County Jail.
