A tragedy on what was the first deer hunt of the season in Michigan. A 14-year old boy from the Thumb region was run over by farm equipment and killed Saturday morning.  The Huron County Sheriff’s Department says the teen was taking part in the deer hunt which is for kids and those with disabilities. Investigators say the young hunter was in a field and may have fallen asleep. A farmer, who was harvesting the field with a corn chopper, didn’t see the boy and drove over him. The teen died at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
