the 96th Bayview Mackinac Race concluded late Tuesday night when Inconseavable, a yacht out of Ann Arbor, crossed the finish line at 11:40 PM needing 83 hours, 10 minutes, and 21 seconds to complete the trek from Port Huron to Mackinac Island.  The first to reach the island, and this years overall winner, was the yacht Heartbreaker from Ada, Michigan.  Heatbreaker finished on Sunday at 5:46 PM, needing just 27 hours, 55 minutes, and 56 seconds to complete the race.  Locally three Port Huron Yacht Club boats bring back honors, as Bill Vogan and Major Detail won Class E, and Jeremy Thompson and Trav’ler won Class G.  Cameron Benedict and his yacht Shape finished in second place in Class I.  2020 marked the 96th straight year for the event.
