County provides clarification to dog license changes

It’s a change in the way St. Clair County Residents renew their dog licenses. Under a new policy passed by the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners, all dog licenses for 2019 are set to expire on the day and month of a dog’s rabies vaccination. According to Deputy County Treasurer Molly Crorey, renewal notices are being mailed to residents who’s dog licenses have expired under the new rule. Speaking to WPHM, Crorey says dog owners will be able to renew their licenses for up to three years at a time moving forward, depending on the age of the dog and their vaccination schedule. Renewal notices are being mailed out to St. Clair County residents who’s dog licenses have expired under the new rule. New licenses can be purchased online at stclaircounty.org .
