A new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics laboratory at Port Huron Northern High School had it’s grand opening last night. The new S.T.E.A.M. lab was funded by the school districts’ recent bond proposal which also called for new secure entrances at the school, additional art rooms, and a new gym. Support for Port Huron Northern’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics programs is also coming from Port Huron’s P.J. Wallbank Springs. The local auto supplier announced a partnership with the school district to help sponsor the S.T.E.A.M. lab and provide real world experience to local students. Similar improvements will be made to facilities at Port Huron High School as well, with those expected to be completed later this year.
