CMH receives federal substance abuse grant

St. Clair County Community Mental health is the recipient of a $4 million dollar grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. According to U.S.Senator Debbie Stabenow, both St. Clair and Washtenaw County’s Community mental health centers have been selected a certified community behavioral health clinic. Behavioral health clinics provide substance abuse treatment services, outpatient mental health treatment, and risk assessments. Senator Stabenow recently secured $150 million to fund this grant program, a total of nine community mental health centers in Michigan have received funds over the past year. Michigan has the most clinics of any state to receive funding through this grant program.
