The Port Huron Police Department has received a new Automated External Defibrillator unit. An A.E.D. is a device designed to save someone’s life in the event of a heart attack by sending an electric shock to the heart. It will be used on the police department’s new Segway. The A.E.D. is a gift of the Fraternal Order of Police and was funded from a grant from Firehouse Subs. The Port Huron A.E.D. is one of over 200 that will be put in the hands of police across the country through the grant program.
