The preseason AP College Football Top 25 was released on Sunday. Michigan is ranked No. 7, their first top 25 preseason rating since being No. 17 in 2013. Michigan State is ranked No. 12, out of the top ten in the preseason poll after three straight years being ranked in the top six. The Spartans open the season on September 2 against Furman, while the Wolverines face Hawaii on September 3.
