A Public Hearing was held last night during the Port Huron City Councils regular meeting to hear comments on liquor license renewals in the city. Port Huron Chief of Police Michael Reaves is concerned with one bar on the list….the Military Street Music Cafe. Chief Reaves says the number and severity of incidents at the establishment have increased over the years. The Chief noted that he had met with owner Steve Pastewski prior to the meeting and that it was productive. Pastewski spoke during the public hearing saying he will be changing the format of the bar to address the issue. A resolution will be brought to the council in March, were they can object to the renewal of liquor licenses in the city. The council also approved $5,000 to Tech Port, Inc; which offers work space for entrepreneurs.
