Justin Verlander lost a no-hit bid in the ninth inning on a lead off double from Chris Iannetta, however, he pitched the Tigers to a 5-0 win on Wednesday night over the Angels. Verlander tossed a complete game allowing just one hit while striking out nine. He became just the third pitcher in the history of the Tigers to strike out 1900 batters with his 8th strike out of the game. Nick Castellanos, Miguel Cabrera, and JD Martinez all hit home runs. The final game of the series is set for Thursday afternoon at Comerica Park.
