Those planning on celebrating New Year’s Eve with a few adult beverages can designate Blue Water Area Transit as their driver tonight. The transportation agency will be offering a free dial-a-ride service called Safe Ride. Starting at 6:00pm, residents of Port Huron, Port Huron Township, and Fort Gratiot Township can call 987-7373 to schedule a pick up from their New Years gathering. The service will tun through 3am New Year’s Day. Safe Ride is a service of local law enforcement agencies, Blue Water Area Transit, and RadioFirst. Normal bus routes will resume on Wednesday January 2nd.
