The City of Port Huron could limit the time length of public comments during council meetings.  The proposed amendments seek to change city’s rules of procedures to limit public comments from four to three minutes, forbid the yielding of time to other speakers, and would allow for the removal of individuals who engage in conduct that interferes with the continuation of the meeting. Council could also plans to purchase a new police car and enter into a new sewer inspection contract during tonight’s regular session meeting. Council could spend approximately $44,000 for a new police interceptor and a $118,000 bid from Michigan Pipe Inspection for three years worth of emergency sewer cleaning and video inspections. Council meets at 7pm tonight at the municipal office center.
