A 56 year old Port Huron man is in custody after making a threat against a local hospital yesterday, sending it into lock down for much of the day. The Port Huron Police Department says a threat was phoned in shortly before 10am Tuesday targeting the hospital. In an abundance of caution, McLaren Port Huron placed the building on lockdown, allowing only patients with appointments to enter the building. Port Huron Police searched the suspect’s Port Huron residence and he was arrested without incident. Further investigations show that the man did not have the means to carry out a threat the hospital and confessed to making the threat.
