Live music will return to Port Huron this summer preceding the start of the Bayview Mackinac Race. Boats and Boots, a two night concert series put on by Q-Country 107 WSAQ, will return July 22nd and 23rd.  Joe Nichols headlines on Family Night Thursday with blue grass band Them Cooley Boys as the opener. On Boat Night Friday, it’s Drake White as the headliner with local favorite the Gasoline Gypsies opening up for him. The two will perform outdoors at a stage set up in the west Quay Street parking lot. Radio First General Manager Scott Shigley, says the pair of concerts were originally planned for last summer but had to be rescheduled due to the coronavirus pandemic. He adds that it’s still unknown at this time how many people will be allowed at the concerts due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. VIP tickets cost $30 for Thursday night and $20 Friday night and can be purchased at www.wsaq.com. There will also be free general admission to the concerts.
