Another alleged case of animal hording is being investigated in St. Clair County. Officials this week seized 16 sick and injured cats from a home in the 6000 block of Delaware in Burtchville Township. Investigations into the animal cruelty complaint are underway and charges may be sought. Last week several dozen animals were seized from a Port Huron home following a similar complaint. The St. Clair County Animal Control office is seeking donations to help support the influx of new animals at the shelter. They also say the cats will soon be made available for adoption. The animal control office is also seeking donations of bleach, dish soap, cat litter, and towels to help replenish supplies. They can be dropped off at their location on Griswold Street in Port Huron Township Monday through Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm.
