Port Huron, Marysville councils meet tonight

The City of Marysville could purchase a couple new properties this evening. On the agenda is the approval of the purchase two parcels of land adjacent to Morton Park in Marysville for $90,000. Marysville City Council meets tonight at 7:30pm. Port Huron City Council also meets tonight. Tonight’s meeting will be the only regular session meeting in August, with council members facing a rather lengthy agenda as a result. Among the items on the agenda include accepting various bids including those for curb replacement along 11th avenue, odor control systems for the wastewater plant, a new skid steer loader, and a new swing set for Lincoln park. Resolutions including renewing an agreement with SC4 to provide a college resource officer, authorizing a ten year lease to the Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce for rental of the McMorran Memorial Room, an authorizing a review of the City Manager’s wages will also be discussed tonight. Port Huron City Council meets at 7pm at the Municipal Office Center.
