One of the ferry boats which shuttled people and cars between Sombra Ontario and Marine City has been sold. In a social media post earlier this week, the Blue Water Ferry service announced the sale of the Daldean Ferry to the Boblo Island Ferry Service near Windsor. The Blue Water Ferry hasn’t been running since ice flows in early 2018 damaged the dock on the Canadian Side of the St. Clair River. Efforts have been taken to restore ferry service, however so far they have been unsuccessful, citing a lack of cooperation from US and Canadian authorities.
