Man charged following weekend shooting

A 24 year old Port Huron man has been arraigned on multiple charges following a weekend argument that lead to shots fired. This past Sunday, Port Huron Police responded to a large fight and reports of a man shooting a handgun in the vicinity of Knox Field Park in the 2400 block of Cleveland Street. Two women – ages 20 and 32 from Port Huron – were engaged in an argument when the suspect pointed a handgun at the 32 year old. The man, identified as Jesse Tyrell Stevenson, fired the handgun into the air. The two women engaged int he argument fled the scene. They were later taken int police custody and released. Stevenson turned himself into authorities and is currently being housed in the St. Clair County Jail on $10,000 bond. He will face charges including Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Discharge of a Firearm from a Vehicle, and Felony Firearms.
