Michigan gas prices rose for the first time in over two months this past week. According to AAA of Michigan, the current average daily gas price is $1.53 cents a gallon. That’s an increase of 11-cents from last week but still about a $1.40 less than this time last year. AAA says as stay at home orders are lifted and businesses begin to reopen, demand for fuel is likely to continue increasing. The cheapest fuel in the state is in the Flint and Tri-Cities area, while the most expensive gas is in the Uppper Peninsula. The price of a gallon of regular unleaded in St. Clair County is $1.51. Pumps are about a nickle lower in Sanilac and Lapeer Counties, asking about $1.45 on average.
