St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon will not be running for another term in office. Donnellon announced Thursday that he will not seek re-election after his third term as Sheriff expires later this year. Donnellon’s law enforcement career began in 1998 and served as a deputy, detective, sergeant and lieutenant before being elected sheriff in 2008. In a statement to WPHM, Donnellon said the decision not to run, “Was difficult and not made lightly.” He adds he would like to spend more time with his family and pursue other opportunities.
