Port Huron man arrested for string of robberies

A suspect wanted in connection for several armed robberies between November 2019 and January 2020 is in police custody. The Port Huron Police Department says they arrested a 40 year old Port Huron man Friday morning believed to be responsible for the crimes. Between November 28th of this past year through January 26th, the suspect is believed to have robbed five businesses ranging from gas stations to a video store to a hotel. Additionally, he is accused of robbing two residences in the 2800 block of Conner and the 1300 block of 19th Street. The suspect’s name has not been released. In a statement to WPHM, Port Huron Police Captain Marcy Kuehn says, “We hope this arrest brings some normalcy back to the victims and businesses.”
