Gas prices down about a dime from last week

The cost of filling up the tank is down a bit across the state of Michigan. AAA is reporting the statewide average for a gallon of gas is down 11-cents compared to last week. The auto club’s survey found Michigan drivers are paying an average of $2.34 a gallon for regular gasoline, down 29-cents from than this time a month ago but four-cents more than this time last year. Statewide, the cheapest fuel can once again be found near Traverse City while the most expensive gas is in the Ann Arbor area. Across the area, Macomb and Sanilac county area pumps area asking $2.36 on average, while Lapeer County pumps are approximately $2.30 a gallon, and St. Clair County pumps are around $2.33 on average for a gallon of regular unleaded.
