A northern Oakland County man is facing one charge for allegedly threatening the life of Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson. Michigan State Police say 72-year old Neil Billington was arraigned Saturday on one count of malicious use of a telecommunication device. Investigators say Billington left threatening voicemail messages for Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and made similar threats in person.  Bond was set at $25,000. The threats concerned Benson’s political views.
