St. Clair County Officials say a 9-1-1 outage has been resolved. Earlier this morning, contractors performing routine maintenance on the state’s fiber optic network caused many incoming 9-1-1 phone calls to be dropped. Tina Bricker, director of St. Clair County Central Dispatch, says incoming calls were cut off after the first 10-15 seconds during the outage. Bricker says the problem was first reported around 3am this morning and as of 6:30am the system was back to running as normal. This morning’s outage did not affect the 9-1-1 text service which remained in operation. Authorities are working to determine what exactly caused this morning’s outage.
