A furniture store with ten locations throughout Mid-Michigan will be purchasing the former Toys R Us building in Fort Gratiot. The Economic Development Alliance of St. Clair County says Godwin’s Furniture  will be purchasing the vacant store located in the 4200 block of 24th Avenue in Fort Graitiot Township. Godwin’s has locations in Saginaw, Lapeer, Sandusky, and Bad Axe among others. Each store is family owned and operated. Toys R Us closed all of its locations last year following bankruptcy.
