Merchant Street between Quay Street and Grand River Avenue in Downtown Port Huron will be closed for about ten days. That’s due to the replacement of the Wastewater Treatment plant’s electrical switch gear. Drivers are encouraged to use Fort or Michigan Streets instead. The upgrades to the Wastewater treatment plant are expected to be completed November 27th, at which time Merchant will reopen to traffic.
